This socket adapter screws and locks into a medium-based socket to permanently convert the socket to a GU24 socket. After installing this adapter into the socket, the socket will only be compatible with GU24-based light bulbs. Because only energy-saving light bulbs are manufactured with GU24 bases, retrofitting your fixtures with these adapters may qualify for utility rebates.
